Dear Holy Trinity Parents & Students,

Summer always goes by very quickly and a new year of religious education classes for children begins this week. Weekly classes for children in grades K-9 will continue to be held from 9:40-10:50 on Sunday mornings, beginning September 17th. 10th and 11th grade classes will meet this year on Sunday afternoons from 1:30 – 2:30 from Jan. 7th – March 25th.

We will be having our student Mass and pancake breakfast that replaces the children’s weekly class again this year on Nov. 26th. Student Masses are part of each student’s religious instruction and they are required to attend them. On this Sunday, children will report to class for attendance at 10:40 and attend Mass with their class. Following Mass, they will proceed to the school for dismissal at noon. The Student Mass will be followed by a meal and activities in the school hall for the children and their families. Thank you for your help and support on this special Sunday that marks the beginning of Advent. We hope you will attend and get to know the other families in the parish.

In addition, there are always a few safety reminders for everyone. Please do not drop your children off for classes before 9:30 a.m. Teachers may not be in their classrooms and the children should not be unattended. I also ask that children in Kindergarten through Second Grade be escorted to and from their class by an adult or responsible older sibling. Please remind all children to use caution when exiting the building due to the traffic in the alley and parking lot. Parents are also asked to be very careful and drive slowly as you pick up or drop off your children. We will do our best to supervise this area.

We always welcome new volunteers to our weekly religious education program. If you have gifts and talents you can share, please let us know.

When you give you will receive, more than you can even hold. ~ Luke 6:38 paraphrased.

Peace and God Bless,
